How to get a good deal on a used car.

Finding a cheap car is one thing, getting a good value is another. Make sure you have the best value deal by following the tips below :-

1.      Inspect any car before you buy, and be sure to take it to a professional mechanic for an inspection and second opinion.

2.      Make sure to ask as many questions as you need to before you buy, such as any accidents or previous problems with the car.

3.      Beware of flood recovered cars, or cars with hidden problems. To avoid this, see a third party mechanic for a full vehicle inspection.

4.      When looking at the car, write down the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) so when you get home, you can do a vehicle history check.

5.      Make sure the car has a clean title. A salvage-title car is basically a damaged car salvaged for parts. Some shops try to ‘fix up’ the car, and resell it. Often times the job is shoddy and incomplete.

6.      Buying a car is a big investment, even a used one. Test drive before your purchase and ask any questions you may have.

7.      If buying from a third party, ask for receipts they may have pertaining to servicing, tires, oil changes, batteries, etc.
